Demonstrating her administration’s unwavering commitment to responsive governance and the welfare of residents, the Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. (Barr.) Rosiji Oluyemisi Adenike, embarked on an extensive inspection tour of key Primary Healthcare Centres and flood-prone communities across the council area.
The inspection covered Abule Tuntun Primary Healthcare Centre, Kola Primary Healthcare Centre, and Ilo Primary Healthcare Centre, as well as major drainage channels and communities vulnerable to flooding within Ojokoro LCDA.
The Executive Chairman was accompanied by the Vice Chairman, Hon. Tunde Oyekunle; Supervisor for Works, Hon. Lanre Olaide; Council Manager, Dr. Idowu Banjoko; Legislative Chief Whip, Hon. Jolaosho Segun; alongside other council officials and members of the affected communities.
During the exercise, Hon. (Barr.) Rosiji carried out a comprehensive assessment of the condition of the healthcare facilities and inspected drainage infrastructure identified as major contributors to recurring flooding in parts of the council area. She also engaged healthcare workers and residents, listening attentively to their concerns while assessing firsthand the challenges confronting the communities.
Speaking during the inspection, the Executive Chairman reaffirmed that effective governance is rooted in direct engagement with the people. She assured residents that the observations made during the tour would guide the Council’s intervention strategies aimed at upgrading primary healthcare facilities, improving drainage infrastructure, enhancing environmental sanitation, and implementing sustainable flood control measures.
She stressed that her administration remains steadfast in its commitment to providing accessible, quality healthcare services while creating a cleaner, safer, and healthier environment for all residents of Ojokoro LCDA.
