Access to quality road infrastructure determines how quickly goods move, how easily residents connect, and how confidently investors look toward a community. In essence, a good road network is the engine that drives socio-economic growth.
This understanding is what has shaped the commitment of Hon. (Barr.) Oluyemisi Adenike Rosiji, Executive Chairman of Ojokoro LCDA, in her first 100 days in office. Recognizing that no community can truly grow without solid infrastructure, she has placed road development at the heart of her administration’s agenda.
Determined to elevate the living conditions of residents and open up more areas for meaningful development, Hon. Rosiji has embarked on targeted road reconstruction and rehabilitation across Ojokoro LCDA. As part of the celebration of her first 100 days in office, she commissioned four completed roads, each designed with standard drainages and functional street lighting, ensuring durability, safety, and night-time visibility.
The newly completed roads include:
– Asuku Street
– Anifowose Street
– Musbau Oseni Street
– Olujola Street
These roads are not just completed projects, they are symbols of a renewed vision for Ojokoro. They enhance connectivity between communities, reduce flooding through well-structured drainage systems, improve security with streetlights, and create smoother access for businesses, transporters, and residents alike.

I want to sincerely appreciate the chairman of the local government for the fantastic job that is ongoing in the local council especially at the Ijaiye road. The market guys were cleared some time ago but it seems they are coming back to the road again, I will appreciate it if the council will take their stand to ensure no trader displays any goods on the road, it majorly affects motorists plying that road.
Secondly Ma, I want to also call your attention to Ajala, where bike men usually park along Akinshola Street. They mostly park at the junction making it difficult for drivers to negotiate the bend properly. As much as they are doing their business, it should not affect others. They should be made to leave that junction or find a proper space that will allow them park their bikes or make use of the mechanic village around there.
