The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. (Barr.) Oluyemisi Adenike Rosiji, has reaffirmed her administration’s unwavering commitment to accessible and quality healthcare with the commissioning of multi-million naira medical equipment donated by the Lagos Paddles Lions Club for six Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) across the council area.
The commissioning ceremony, held on Thursday, 19th June 2026, at the Council Secretariat, represents another landmark achievement in the Council’s drive to improve healthcare infrastructure and ensure efficient service delivery at the grassroots.
Welcoming guests to the event, Hon. Rosiji expressed profound appreciation to the Lagos Paddles Lions Club for its remarkable act of generosity and commitment to humanitarian service. She described the intervention as timely and impactful, noting that the donated equipment would significantly enhance healthcare delivery, particularly for women, children, the elderly, and other vulnerable residents.
The Executive Chairman particularly commended the President of the Lagos Paddles Lions Club, Lion Seun Durojaye, alongside members of the club, for their consistent investment in community development and the wellbeing of humanity.

Speaking during the ceremony, the President of Lions Clubs International District 404B2, Lion Seun Durojaye, explained that the choice of Primary Healthcare Centres for the intervention was deliberate, as they remain the first point of contact for healthcare services within communities.
According to him, the donation aligns with the humanitarian mission of Lions Clubs International to support initiatives that improve lives and promote healthier communities.
Also speaking, the Past President of Lagos Paddles Lions Club, Lion Are Lekan Owolabi, commended the project implementation committee for its diligence and dedication to the successful execution of the initiative. He equally appreciated the Executive Chairman for her support and active collaboration with the club, noting that the donation of medical equipment to six Primary Healthcare Centres was inspired by the belief that proactive interventions save lives and strengthen healthcare systems.
The Member representing Ifako-Ijaiye Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Olabinjo, lauded Lions Clubs International District 404B2 for complementing government’s efforts in the healthcare sector. He urged the management of the beneficiary health facilities to ensure proper maintenance and effective utilization of the equipment for the benefit of present and future generations.
In his vote of thanks, the Council Manager, Dr. Idowu Daisi Banjoko, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Lagos Paddles Lions Club for its invaluable contribution to the health sector in Ojokoro LCDA. He assured the donors that the equipment would be properly managed and optimally utilized to improve healthcare services across the benefiting Primary Healthcare Centres.
The commissioning and official handover ceremony was witnessed by Honourable Councillors, members of the executive council, management staff, traditional rulers, party leaders, healthcare professionals, community stakeholders, and other distinguished guests.
The 6 Primary Healthcare Centres that benefited from the multi-million naira medical equipment are Agbado-Kola PHC, Ilo-Ajegunle PHC, Iju PHC, Abule Titun PHC, Isokan PHC, and Adesola PHC. The donation further reinforces the importance of public-private collaboration in strengthening healthcare delivery and advancing renewed hope Agenda within Ojokoro LCDA, while reflecting the administration’s continued resolve to build a healthier and more prosperous community for all residents.
