It was a defining moment of service, passion, and unwavering commitment to grassroots education on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, as the Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. (Barr.) Oluyemisi Adenike Rosiji, once again demonstrated leadership by defying the rain to continue the Back-to-School Initiative across four public schools within the council area.
The chairman, accompanied by councillors, management staff, and other top officials of the LCDA, took the initiative’s train to Wesley Primary School, Vetland Primary School, Agege, Oko-Oba Primary School, New Oko-Oba, and New Era Foundation School, Ojokoro.
At each school, Hon. Rosiji personally led the distribution of customized exercise books and writing materials to the excited pupils, who welcomed the team with cheers and songs of appreciation.
Speaking during the exercise, Hon. Yemisi Rosiji reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to promoting quality basic education and supporting pupils to achieve academic excellence.
The chairman also appreciated the teachers and school heads for their dedication to nurturing the future leaders of the community, promising that her administration will continue to support the education sector through various intervention programmes.
Parents and teachers present at the event lauded the council boss for her consistency and hands-on leadership approach, describing her as a chairman deeply committed to the welfare of children and the advancement of education in Ojokoro LCDA.
The Back-to-School Initiative, which began weeks earlier, has so far reached several schools across the LCDA, reflecting the Rosiji-led administration’s vision of empowering young minds and fostering a brighter future through education.
