The Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. (Barr.) Oluyemisi Adenike Rosiji, has restated her administration’s strong commitment to environmental sustainability as she received the Chief Executive Officer of Net-Zero, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) devoted to addressing 21st century environmental challenges.

Welcoming the NGO members to the council, Barr. Rosiji commended Net-Zero for its two-year collaboration with Ojokoro LCDA in promoting environmental awareness and practical solutions to waste management. She noted that partnerships of this kind are crucial to building a healthier and cleaner community for residents.

A key outcome of the visit was the decision to establish a Recycling Hub within Ojokoro LCDA. Barr. Rosiji explained that the hub will not only enhance waste recycling and environmental education but will also create jobs, empower the youth, and serve as a role model for sustainable development across Lagos State.

Speaking during the visit, Mrs. Titilayo Akisa, a representative of Net-Zero, applauded the visionary leadership of Barr. Rosiji and pledged the organization’s continued support in driving impactful environmental initiatives within Ojokoro and beyond.

Through this partnership and forward-looking projects like the Recycling Hub, Ojokoro LCDA under Barr. Rosiji’s leadership is positioning itself as a trailblazer in environmental sustainability and community development.
